Windsor man charged with impaired driving in Lakeshore

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested a 42-year-old man following a traffic stop in Lakeshore.

Officers responded to a complaint about an erratic driver at around 5:15 p.m. on Monday on County Road 22.

While speaking with the driver, officers determined that he may have been impaired. He was arrested and taken to the Lakeshore detachment for testing.

The Windsor man is charged with impaired driving and driving with over 80 milligrams of alcohol in blood.

The driver's vehicle was impounded for seven days, and his licence suspended for 90 days.

The charges have not been proven in court. The suspect will be able to respond in a Windsor court on May 27.
