Tourism Windsor Essex Pelee Island is highlighting the best the region has to offer for the 10th year.
The Best of Windsor-Essex Awards are voted on by residents in the region to recognize their favourite spots to eat, drink, and explore.
"What this does is it provides us with a curated list of experiences and places that locals like to visit and we use it all year long in our marketing to tell visitors where locals like to go we know they will too," said TWEPI Chief Executive Officer Gordon Orr.
A total of 48 awards were given out Wednesday.
"We're very excited about celebrating our tourism and hospitality industry. Giving our businesses and our attractions bragging rights from the fact that they're voted by locals as the best, where they can hang a plaque with pride," said Orr.
Seven businesses have been honoured for winning their category yearly since the awards' inception. They include Caesars Windsor for best hotel, Colosanti's Tropical Gardens for best family-friendly attraction, and Kingsville Golf and Country Club for best golf course.
