Fundraising initiative wrapping up with $100K raised

An initiative to raise money for the MRI suite at Erie Shores Healthcare has taken an important step.

The One Week, One Million campaign from the Erie Shores Health Foundation (ESHF) concludes on Tuesday, but not before $100,000 has been raised for the project.

"We are one big step closer to reaching our goal," said ESHF Executive Director Penny Bellhouse. "We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the immense support we received from the community throughout our One Week, One Million initiative. I want to thank each and every person who has made a donation and or advocated for the project so far."

The ultimate goal of the project is $5-million. At the time the One Week, One Million campaign was launched, the tote was at $3.5-million. It is now at $3.6-million.

Additional fundraising commitments have also come from various community supporters.

Donations to the MRI suite project will go toward completing the suite itself and covering the cost of upkeep.

If you wish to contribute, you may do so through the ESHF's official website.
