Windsor police enforcement blitz brings 41 charges

Windsor police say some people still don't get it when driving on the city's roads.

Officers with the Traffic Enforcement Unit conducted an enforcement blitz on Thursday, setting up at various locations around Windsor.

A total of 41 charges were laid on drivers, mainly for speeding, running red lights, and other infractions.

This past week, six drivers were busted by Windsor police for stunt driving.

Police say one of them was a G-1 licenced driver operating without a fully-licenced driver present.

Those charged with stunt driving will try public transit for 30 days, as their licences were suspended. Their vehicles are also impounded for 14 days.
