Stolen vehicle investigation leads to $20,000 drug bust

A stolen vehicle investigation by Windsor Police resulted in the seizure of $20,000 worth of fentanyl.

According to police, on January 19, investigators recovered a stolen vehicle that was parked in the 2000 block of Ypres Avenue. Police obtained surveillance video of a male suspect driving the stolen vehicle.

On January 23, police found and arrested the male suspect, at a residence in the 400 block of Glengarry Avenue. During the arrest, officers seized 81.3 grams of fentanyl, worth $20,000.

As a result, the male suspect has been charged with possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
