Infrastructure improvements and annual events have been included in the Municipality of Leamington's next spending plan.
The approval of Leamington's 2025 budget was confirmed on Friday, with total expenditures set at $105-million.
Mayor Hilda MacDonald said it was important that vital services be maintained.
"The 2025 budget reflects our dedication to enhancing the quality of life for Leamington residents," said MacDonald. "By prioritizing strategic investments, we are ensuring that our community continues to grow and thrive, supported by modern infrastructure and robust municipal services."
The budget includes a municipal tax increase, which results in an additional $120.54 per year for an average urban residential home assessed at $190,000.
The increase consists of a four per cent allocation for municipal services, and a 0.7 per cent adjustment to cover the rising costs of police protection by the OPP.
Capital improvement projects covered in the budget include a waterfront plaza, road reconstruction, sewer separation, and enhanced water main systems.
Annual events such as the Canada Day party, the Music Onthe42 Concert Series, and Mill Street Markets, are also included.
