Windsor Police Service cruiser.A 39-year-old is facing charges after an attempted bank robbery Thursday.
Windsor police said at around 2 p.m. a man entered a bank on Ouellette Avenue near University Avenue and handed a note to the teller demanding cash.
The suspect took off before they were given any money.
Officers patrolling downtown quickly located and arrested the suspect.
The man has been charged with attempted robbery.
Alan Smith will begin his new role with the municipality on July 20.
