Suspect in Devonshire Mall break-and-enter arrested

A man wanted for breaking into a popular Devonshire Mall store in September has been found.

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) reported that a 41-year-old man was arrested on Thursday. No additional details have been disclosed.

The man is charged with two counts each of break-and-enter, possession of break-and-enter tools, wearing a disguise to commit an offence, operation of a vehicle while prohibited, and failure to comply with a release order.

On September 23, thieves broke into BB Branded in Devonshire Mall. They loaded around 100 pairs of name-brand shoes, valued at over $7,500, into a pickup truck.

A 50-year-old woman, arrested in Kingsville, faces break-and-enter, possession of break-and-enter tools, possession of stolen property, and failure to comply with a release order charges.

The charges have not been proven in court.

Windsor police would like to thank the public for its help in locating the suspect.
