Lakeshore is ready to induct its first class into the Lakeshore Sports Excellence Hall of Fame in a ceremony later this month.
Each of the inductees has made a significant contribution to sports in Lakeshore.
Wrestler David Tremblay will be inducted in the Athlete Modern category, while hockey player Jim Mahon is the first Athlete Legend recipient. Mary Ann Pinsonneault, another hockey player, was chosen in the Builder category, and baseball player Reg Chevalier in the Open category.
They'll be honoured on November 7 at a special dinner at the Urban Field House on Faith Drive in Emeryville.
The Lakeshore Sports Excellence Hall of Fame Committee chose the winners in each category.
Sports enthusiasts in Lakeshore who believe in preserving local sports history conceived the Hall of Fame.
