Windsor Police are investigating two break-ins at local schools on the same day, but they don't think they are connected.
The first break-in was reported just before 1:30 a.m. on October 3.
Police received a call about a break-in at the Windsor Islamic High School on Alexis Road. Officers found damage inside the school.
The second break-in was reported at 8:30 p.m. the same day. Officers found two damaged windows at Marlborough Public School on Melbourne Road.
Investigators ask nearby residents and business owners to review their surveillance or dashcam video for evidence that could identify the suspects.
The Windsor Police Target Base Unit is leading the investigation. It said there's no evidence the two crimes are linked or were motivated by hatred toward any particular group based on race, nationality, or ethnic origin.
