The driver fled the scene and drove on to Woodstock on Vansittart Avenue, but the bridge is under construction.

The vehicle continued over the bridge, driving on the sidewalk where construction crews worked.

While inspecting the vehicle, police found significant mechanical and safety issues.

The bumper of the car in the Amulree crash was also stuck in the vehicle's passenger door.
