Man charged for pointing airsoft gun

Windsor police have arrested a man for allegedly pointing a realistic-looking weapon Monday morning.

Officers were called at around 11 a.m. to the area of Walker Road and Sydney Avenue, on a complaint of someone pointing a weapon at another person.

Police learned that the suspect was sitting on a front porch when he pulled from his waistband what appeared to be a gun and pointed it at someone on the street.

A perimeter was set up around the area, but the suspect was arrested soon after. The weapon turned out to be an airsoft gun.

No one was hurt.

The 22-year-old man now faces a charge of possession of a dangerous weapon. It has not been proven in court.
