Lakeshore woman charged after drugs found in home

A 62-year-old woman faces charges after the Ontario Provincial Police found illicit drugs, drug paraphernalia, and cash while searching a home in Lakeshore.

Members of the Essex County Detachment were recently joined by officers from the Lambton County OPP at a residence on Heritage Garden Crescent.

The investigation is ongoing, but the woman faces a count of possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine.

The suspect was released from police custody and has a court date at the Ontario Court of Justice on October 21.
