UPDATE: One dead, two in hospital after house fire Thursday morning

Windsor Fire and Rescue has confirmed that one person is dead and two are hurt after a house fire in Windsor on Thursday morning.

Firefighters were called to the home on Bruce Avenue between Shepherd Street West and Hanna Street West just before 8 a.m.

Paramedics rushed three people to the hospital with serious injuries, and fire officials have reported that one of the victims has passed away.

Windsor Fire and Rescue Services hasn't released the cause of the fire. It's under investigation.

A damage estimate hasn't been released.

The fire is the third house fire in two days in the city. Police are investigating a fire on Randolph Avenue near College Avenue, where officials found a Molotov cocktail, and one on Ellis Street East near Lillian Avenue that caused $100,000 in damage.
