Woman charged in Windsor robbery

A GPS device on a stolen phone led Windsor police to a robbery suspect.

Officers responded to a report of a fight at the intersection of Howard Avenue and Elliott Street East at around 10 a.m. Tuesday. A woman told police that she was attacked by someone she didn't know, who took her phone and other belongings.

The victim was not hurt.

Using the GPS device on the stolen iPhone, police could determine the location quickly, and the suspect was arrested.

The 39-year-old woman is charged with robbery and possession of stolen property under $5,000.

The charges have not been proven in court.
