The Town of LaSalle is converting two tennis courts into six pickleball courts.
The work is being completed after a request from the LaSalle Pickleball Association.
Work on the courts on Front Road is already underway.
New lines will be painted on the courts but the tennis lines will also be on the surface.
The changes will cost the town an estimated $10,000.
Once the courts are converted, there will be 11 outdoor pickleball courts in LaSalle including two at Heritage Park, three at Vince Marcotte Park, and four on Front Road. There will be eight tennis courts including four at the Vollmer, one at James Jenner Park, one at Brian Briggs Park, and two on Front Road.
Town administration is exploring the addition of more pickleball courts at the Vollmer Complex as part of next year's budget.
