If you want to cool off at a Windsor-Essex beach this weekend, the local health unit has information you should know.
The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit (WECHU) placed warnings on three beaches and two others following the latest round of beach water testing.
E.coli levels at Cedar Beach in Kingsville, Cedar Island Beach in Kingsville, and Sandpoint Beach in Windsor, exceeded the 200 mark for a "code yellow" classification, meaning that swimming is not recommended.
Holiday Beach in Amherstburg and Lakeview Park West Beach in Belle River are closed due to E.coli levels surpassing 1,000.
Testing took place on Thursday.
The other three public beaches in Windsor-Essex, Colchester Beach in Essex, Point Pelee North West Beach in Leamington, and Seacliff Beach in Leamington, tested for low bacteria levels and are open.
Complete information on the latest beach water testing results can be found on the health unit's official website.
