Firefighters arrived at a medical office building on Ouellette Avenue near Hanna Street around 3 a.m. Wednesday.
Fire Prevention Officer Mike Coste said paramedics took one person to the hospital.
Fire officials and Windsor Police are jointly investigating how it started, and so far, there is no damage estimate.
