Two charged in $200K drug bust

Windsor police say two people face charges after almost $200,000 worth of drugs were seized.

According to police, around 1 a.m. Friday, officers searched a vehicle and home in east Windsor after a two month investigation into an alleged drug network with links to Toronto.

During the searches, officers seized 1.345 kilograms of cocaine, 217.3 grams of fentanyl, 51.6 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 40.7 grams of methamphetamine, and 958 tablets of oxycodone.

They also seized a bulletproof vest, fentanyl preparation materials, two digital scales, nine overcapacity magazines, hundreds of rounds of ammunition, $1,400 in Canadian currency, and $158 in US currency.

A 28-year-old and a 30-year-old face several charges, including possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking.
