Windsor Police make two more arrests in bus stop assault

The number of suspects facing charges after an assault on a 16-year-old boy while waiting for a bus earlier this month has risen to six.

Windsor Police say two boys, aged 12 and 13, turned themselves over to investigators and face a charge of assault causing bodily harm.

The assault, on March 9, was at a bus stop on Howard Avenue near Devonshire Mall. Just before 8 p.m., police said a large group of teens confronted the victim, chased him, and then punched and kicked him.

He suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and sought treatment at the hospital.

Over the past few weeks, police arrested four 14-year-olds.

The investigation continues, and police ask anyone with video or dashcam evidence of the assault to contact them at 519-255-6700 ext. 4830, Crime Stoppers at 519-258-8477, or leave a tip online at www.catchcrooks.com.
