The temperature in Windsor Monday climbed to 22 C breaking the previous record set 41 years ago.
The record was set in 1983 with a temperature of 19.1 C.
Environment Canada meteorologist Geoff Coulson says above average temperatures could continue throughout March.
"I know my golf buddies have already taken the clubs out and they're swinging and they're ready to go but there's still potentially some winter left to go," said Coulson. "Even though it looks like the over arching theme is milder than normal it looks like arctic air could still visit us on occasion through the month."
This winter has been particularly mild. Coulson noted February 2024 was the second warmest on record in Windsor.
