Tentative deal reached to end strike at Jamieson Laboratories

After three weeks on the picket line, unionized workers at Jamieson Laboratories in Windsor have a tentative deal.

Unifor stated on Friday that after several weeks of challenging negotiations, Local 195 and the company had a deal.

Last week, the union said talks with Jamieson had reached an impasse.

The national union and Unifor Local 195 fully endorse the agreement.

Members will find out details at a ratification meeting on Sunday.

On February 1, 317 unionized workers went on strike to back demands for better pay, job security, and benefits.

Jamieson Laboratories is one of Canada's largest manufacturers of vitamins.
