Windsor police have arrested a 15-year-old boy following a robbery Sunday night just east of the downtown core.
Officers responded at around 10 p.m. to the area of University Avenue East near Marentette Avenue. They learned that the victim, another 15-year-old boy, was riding his bicycle when two people threatened him with a knife and took his cell phone.
Police checked security camera footage of the incident and determined that one of the alleged thieves was a 15-year-old boy who was arrested at his home on Thursday.
He is charged with robbery with an offensive weapon and wearing a disguise to commit an offence.
The charges have not been proven in court, and the suspect can't be named under the Ontario Youth Criminal Justice Act.
