Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are looking for someone who stole items belonging to a splash pad in the Town of Essex.
Employees from the Town stopped by a storage facility on Fairview Avenue West on December 20, 2023, and noticed that a large stainless-steel soccer ball and basketball were stolen. The balls were part of the Essex Splash Pad and had been in storage for winter safekeeping.
Security camera footage was reviewed, but no suspects were identified.
Anyone with information on the stolen items or footage from the area around the storage facility should call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
