Drugs, tasers and a gun seized during investigation

Police seized illegal drugs, a handgun, and two tasers through a recent investigation.

The Windsor Police Drugs and Guns Enforcement Unit started an investigation into a drug operation at two Windsor homes in January 2024.

On Tuesday, officers arrested a 43-year-old man in relation to the investigation. During the arrest, a loaded handgun was seized.

The man was charged with multiple weapons offences, possession for the purpose of trafficking, breach of probation and possession of stolen property.

After the arrest, officers searched a home on Whelpton Street. During the search, officers seized a taser, several rounds of ammunition , and a digital scale.

During a search of another home on Elliott Street, police seized 14.9 grams of fentanyl, 2.7 grams of cocaine, a taser and $705.

A 45-year-old woman at the home was arrested and charged with possession of a prohibited weapon, possession for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of a scheduled substance.
