Three arrested after police recover stolen vehicle

Three people are facing charges after police recovered a stolen vehicle during a break-and-enter.

Around 11 p.m. on January 30, officers were patrolling South Windsor when they spotted a white Toyota matching the description of a vehicle reported stolen two weeks ago.

Officers followed the vehicle to a home on Metcalfe Street. Two men broke into the building while a woman stayed in the driver's seat.

The men returned to the car empty-handed when police intercepted the vehicle.

All three people took off on foot but were quickly arrested without incident.

A 48-year-old was charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000, break and enter and failure to comply with a release order.

Finally, a 42-year-old was charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000 and break and enter.
