Windsor police are looking for two people who allegedly drove their vehicle into Tecumseh Mall and robbed a jewelry store.
Officers were called to the mall at around 4 a.m. Tuesday following a report of a commercial alarm going off. They found one of the mall entrances destroyed and broken glass scattered.
Police learned that two people had used their vehicle to ram the entrance. Once they gained entry, they allegedly rammed the security gate of a jewelry store. The pair stole an undisclosed inventory amount then fled the scene in the same vehicle.
Soon after this incident, officers were called to Lauzon Road off Yolanda Street and discovered that the vehicle used in the robbery had been set on fire.
No one was injured in either incident.
One suspect is described as a male wearing dark clothing. The second was a male wearing dark clothing and a safety vest.
Homeowners and business owners in the area are asked to check their security camera and dashcam footage from shortly after 4 a.m. Tuesday and give the police a call if they see anything unusual.
