Police investigate bomb threat at south Windsor store

A police presence was seen on Wednesday in south Windsor, investigating a bomb threat received by a retailer.

Police say employees at a store on Dougall Avenue south of West Grand Boulevard took a phone call at around 12:30 p.m., saying that explosives were planted in the store.

The building was evacuated, and police conducted a thorough search of the establishment, finding nothing suspicious.

The store was reopened around 2 p.m.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information should call Windsor police's Major Crimes Unit at (519) 255-6700, ext. 4830. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Crime Stoppers at (519) 258-TIPS (8477).
