Thousands of visitors took the time to walk down Candy Cane Lane in Windsor this holiday season.
The City closed out another successful chapter of Bright Lights Windsor on Sunday night. During the event at Jackson Park, an estimated 100,000 people walked the paths to enjoy a collection of eye-popping light displays.
In addition to the usual features such as the central tree in the Queen Elizabeth II Sunken Gardens, the light tunnels, and giant ornaments, this year's Bright Lights added live entertainment on weekends.
The theme was Bright Lights Windsor: Where Tradition Shines, with a series of seasonally-themed light zones. They included the Enchanted Children’s Village, Wish Upon a Star, W.E. the North, Candy Cane Lane, Merry and Bright, Santa’s Workshop, Winter Wonderland, and Peace and Love Around the World.
Visitors also enjoyed the WE Made It Holiday Market, which included local vendors.
Crews have now begun removing the displays, which will be done, as usual, in stages. The City will provide updates on what sections of Jackson Park have been reopened.
