Baby boy the first birth of 2024

Jacqueline and Kyle Rollins are the proud parents of Windsor's first baby of 2024.

Baby Benjamin Skye Rollins arrived a little later than usual.

Typically, the hospital will see its first baby born at some point overnight, but hospital officials said he held out a little longer.

The baby boy was born at 9:49 a.m. weighing in at six pounds, six ounces.

Benjamin is the second child for the parents who have a 2-year-old son as well.

The couple were settled in watching a movie on New Year’s Eve when contractions began, according to hospital officials.

Morning came and the soon-to-be parents headed to the hospital.

“It was a fast labour," said Rollins in a release. "The baby came almost right away. I can’t say enough about the staff and nurses here at Windsor Regional Hospital."
