Inspired by the movie "Christmas Vacation," the Member of Parliament for Windsor-Tecumseh hopes members of his riding will get into the spirit and nominate their neighbours for the inaugural Griswold Awards.
Andrew Dowie wants residents to nominate neighbours who have gone all out with their outdoor holiday displays.
"We're not just looking for the brightest lights or the tallest inflatable snowman -- we want to share all those that radiate joy, creativity, and the true spirit of the season," said a release from Dowie's constituency office.
Residents can nominate their display, a neighbour's, or a business online or by emailing Dowie at andrew.dowie@pc.ola.org with the name and address of the nominee and your name.
Nominations opened on Monday and close on December 30.
They can also be shared on social media using the hashtag #WTGriswolds.
Dowie will visit nominated homes and businesses to present a Certificate of Appreciation.
