The Town of LaSalle is ready to share with residents its progress on the waterfront district plan.
Residents are invited to a public open house, where the Town will provide an update on the ongoing plan to transform a 60-acre waterfront park. It is scheduled for Monday, November 20, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Event Centre at LaSalle Landing.
"As a destination and an asset, our waterfront can be positioned to support the local economy and the Front Road businesses in particular," read a release from the Town. "The LaSalle Waterfront District Plan (LWDP) is a project being undertaken by the municipality to support and encourage the broader vitality of the 60-acre park, as well as the larger Front Road commercial corridor."
The project's consultants will be available to share information about the project and gather feedback from residents. The open house will begin with a formal presentation, followed by a question period, and then an informal meet-and-greet, when residents can view interactive presentation boards.
Complete information about the project is available on the Town's official website.
Ground was broken last week on one component of the project, the Event Centre's new entrance garden, which is a legacy project commemorating the 40th anniversary of the WindsorEssex Community Foundation.
