Nominations are open for the Mayor's Arts Awards, which celebrate outstanding artist talent and honour those who contribute to Lakeshore's arts scene.
Residents can nominate artists in five categories.
The Student Artist Award recognizes outstanding promise and commitment in any artistic discipline for students under 21.
Artists with two to seven years of professional experience can be nominated for the Emerging Artist Award.
Nominations for the Patron of the Arts Leadership Award is for any volunteers, educators, supporter, or business that supports the arts.
Businesses, organizations or individuals who've had a positive impact on the arts can be nominated for the Creative Entrepreneur Award.
Artists who demonstrate excellence in their field through a body of work, public performance, publication, or exhibition are eligible for the Artistic Excellence Award.
All but the Patron of the Arts Leadership Award comes with a $1,000 reward.
Residents can submit their nominations online until December 31.
A panel of judges will recommend the winners for endorsement by Mayor Tracey Bailey and will be recognized at a reception next spring at the Atlas Tube Recreation Centre.
