Ontario Provincial Police in Essex County responded to multiple alleged impaired driving incidents over the weekend.
Around 8 a.m. Saturday, the Lakeshore Detachment and EMS were called for a car in a ditch on County Road 46.
When officers arrived on the scene, they saw that a vehicle had struck an unoccupied parked vehicle.
Officers witnessed signs of impairment and the driver was arrested. He was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
Upon further investigation, officers discovered that the vehicle had been reported stolen and found suspected methamphetamines.
The 36-year-old driver from Windsor is now facing charges of operation while impaired by drugs, possession of stolen property, possession of methamphetamine, and driving while under suspension.
In a separate incident Friday evening, officers in Kingsville received a traffic complaint about a driver on Highway 3.
Officers found the vehicle and after speaking to the driver saw signs of impairment.
A 36-year-old from Leamington is now facing charges of operation while impaired by alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration of 80 plus.
