Police probe bomb threat at Windsor courthouse

Windsor police continue to investigate after they were notified about a potential bomb threat at the courthouse on Friday.

According to investigators, officers received an online call at around 3:30 p.m. about a report of a possible explosive at the court located at 200 Chatham Street East.

Members of the Major Crimes Unit responded immediately and coordinated a perimeter around the area while police searched the area.

"Through investigation, officers determined that the area was safe and the bomb call was unfounded," read a statement from Windsor police.

No other details about the threat have been provided. Police say the investigation is ongoing.
