Essex wants public input on parking bylaws

The Town of Essex has asked residents for their feelings as it considers changes to parking regulations.

By-law 1037 covers parking for multiple dwelling units, single-detached, semi-detached, and townhome dwelling units.

The amendment would adjust on-site parking regulations and create a minimum required landscaped area for required front yards in residential districts.

Any changes would be based on the number of bedrooms in a dwelling unit.

Residents are invited to complete a survey on the proposed amendment, which is online at the Town's official website.

Essex Town Council has also scheduled a special meeting to discuss the matter, on Monday, October 2, at 5 p.m. at the Essex Municipal Building. Requests to speak at the special meeting must be submitted no later than 4:30 p.m. on Friday, September 29.
