A 29-year-old man has been charged following a drug bust by Windsor police.
Investigators in the Drugs and Guns (DIGS) Unit began a probe last month of a man believed to be selling narcotics out of a downtown home.
A warrant was obtained, and on Thursday, officers raided the home on Glengarry Avenue near Caesars Windsor. Police confiscated 209.5 grams of fentanyl, 14 grams of cocaine, and a small amount of crystal methamphetamine. They also seized $5,835 in Canadian and U.S. currency, dog spray, and four digital scales.
The total street value of the suspected drugs is over $53,000.
The suspect was arrested soon after on Erie Street East near Windsor Avenue. He is charged with five counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell.
The counts have not been proven in court.
The investigation continues. Anyone with information should call Windsor police's DIGS Unit at (519) 255-6700, ext. 4361. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Crime Stoppers at (519) 258-TIPS (8477).
