A five-day comedy festival is coming to Windsor at the end of the month.
Hosted inside Craft Heads Brewing Company the Brewing for Comedy Festival will feature comedians from across North America.
There will be two shows a day between August 29 and September 1.
The final show, on September 2, will be at the Capitol Theatre and feature Canadian comedian Mayce Galoni who has performed on Just for Laughs, Kevin Hart's LOL Network and MTV.
The festival received funding through the City of Windsor's Arts, Culture, and Heritage Grant. With this funding, anyone can register to attend any of the shows at Craft Heads for free. The final show at the Capitol Theatre will be a ticketed event.
“The free showcases are our way of showing gratitude to the community for their support for Brewing for Comedy over the past eight years, which has helped to make our festival dream a reality,” says Montanier. “We would like to thank everyone who sponsored or volunteered to help produce this new downtown event. With the community’s support we hope to make Brewing for Comedy an annual local festival.”
