A 23-year-old man faces attempted murder and weapons charges following an early morning shooting.
Windsor police responded at around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, to the reports of shots fired in the area of Seminole Street and George Avenue.
Police said that when they arrived on the scene, officers found bullet casings on the street, a bullet hole in the rear bumper of a parked vehicle, and blood in a nearby alley.
Roughly two hours into the investigation, officers were called to McKay Avenue for a report of a person with a gunshot wound.
Police found a 23-year-old man who had been shot in the leg and applied first aid until paramedics arrived. The victim was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Shortly before 5 a.m., police located and arrested a suspect.
The investigation is ongoing.
