Windsor police seek female suspected in car theft (VIDEO)

Windsor police are hoping you can help identify a woman seen on surveillance footage near a vehicle stolen last week.

Investigators say it happened around 7:30 p.m. Thursday on Walker Road near Moxlay Avenue. Police were called on a report of a stolen vehicle.

According to surveillance video obtained by police, a woman was seen circling the parked car, then entering it and driving it west toward Moxlay.

Police recovered the vehicle on Tuesday on Howard Avenue near Alexandrine Street.

The suspect is described as a White female, about 30 years old, with a slim build and dark brown hair. At the time of the incident, she wore black sunglasses, grey shorts, a white t-shirt, and white running shoes.

Police have asked the public to take a look at a still photo and a short video. Anyone who may know who this woman is should call Windsor police at (519) 255-6700, ext. 4350. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Crime Stoppers at (519) 258-TIPS (8477).
