Caesars Cares makes donation to Big Brother Big Sisters

Big Brothers and Big Sisters Windsor Essex is launching a new volunteer engagement strategy to attract more mentors to the organization.

Caesars Windsor Cares donated $20,000 to help support volunteer training and engagement through the BBBSWE Volunteer and Alumni Association.

“Mentoring changes lives,” said Becky Parent, executive director of BBBSWE. “We have evidence of this demonstrated through the thousands of children and youth who have graduated from our program and are now happy, successful adults. But there are dozens still waiting"

The funds will be used to host monthly training and networking sessions where mentors will be encouraged to bring a friend.

“Caesars Windsor Cares is committed to strengthening our community where we live, work, and play,” said Susanne Tomkins, Public Relations & Communications Manager. “We know firsthand how impactful volunteers are for our community and are proud to support Big Brothers Big Sister’s Volunteer Training & Engagement program.”
