Tune Up The Park returns with a celestial twist

The Town of Essex is bringing back live concert performances, but this summer, it has a partnership with the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada.

The annual Tune Up The Park music series starts on Monday, July 3, with Rock/Pop/Country duo Sally and Shirley.

Each Monday in July and August, there will be live music in Colchester Park and every Wednesday in Heritage Gardens Park. Each show is free and starts at 7 p.m.

A list of entertainers is on the town's website, and the series presents music from a variety of genres.

This year, the society will supply concert-goers with telescopes so they can view the moon and other astronomical objects.
