Windsor police have confirmed that a man struck by a vehicle Wednesday afternoon has passed away.
Few details have been released, buta pedestrian was hit by a vehicle shortly after 3:30 p.m. on Riverside Drive East, near Alexander Park.
The victim was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries, and police confirmed Thursday morning that he succumbed to those injuries.
An accident reconstruction team was on scene late Wednesday afternoon.
Police have told WindsorNewsToday.ca that no charges have been filed at this time.
Riverside Drive East was open to vehicular and pedestrian traffic during the investigation, but there were traffic slowdowns in the area.
