Outdoor liquor licence applications taken in Leamington

Business owners in Leamington can now apply to serve alcohol outdoors.

The Municipality is now taking applications from business owners who would like to build temporary patios on their businesses for the purpose of serving alcoholic beverages.

As of January 1, the Ontario government allowed communities to approve temporary patios, which are allowed for up to eight months per calendar year.

Bar and restaurant owners are responsible for notifying the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) of their intentions to sell alcohol outdoors before they may do so.

If you are interested in placing a temporary patio, fill out the online application, available on the Municipality's official website.
