Cirque du Soleil returns to Windsor

Cirque du Soleil is bringing its latest production to the WFCU Centre this winter.

Crystal features seven traditional circus acts, including trapeze, banquine, pendular poles, and aerial straps, all performed on the ice.

For the first time, Cirque du Soleil's show will include two new features, figure skating and extreme skating. The company said those disciplines have never been used in one of their performances.

"Crystal pushes the boundaries of the possibility of the circus acts and encourages audiences to find the magic in the every day," said Artistic Director Robert Tannion. "The show is all about shifting your perspective and looking at things from fresh angles. Sometimes the best way to appreciate things is to look at it sideways, or in Crystal's case, upside down."

The WFCU Centre will host five shows between November 30 and December 3.

Tickets are available now exclusively to Cirque Club members. Membership is free at www.cirquedusoleil.com. General tickets go on sale on May 2 and can be purchased online.

So far, more than 1.9-million people in 15 countries have watched Crystal since the show premiered in 2017.
