Windsor firefighters kept busy Friday

Windsor firefighters dealt with a pair of fires east of downtown Friday.

The first one was reported shortly after 4 a.m. in the area of Drouillard Road and Reginald Street. The fire was brought under control within a half-hour, and crews remained on scene to perform ventilation.

Fire crews were back at it later Friday morning with another incident, this one on Wyandotte Street East.

Windsor Fire and Rescue responded to a call shortly after 12 noon near Parent Avenue. The fire resulted in the street being closed for several hours.

There were no reports of injuries in either fire.

There is also no word on cause or damage estimates as of Friday evening.
