The ownership and workers at Windsor Salt are hoping to make headway in contract talks next week.
Unifor Locals 240 and 1959, which represent some 250 employees at the west Windsor facility, announced Monday afternoon that four days of bargaining sessions have been scheduled starting Monday, April 3.
The two sides came together for two days of bargaining last week.
"Unifor Assistant to the National Officers Tim Mitchell reports that there has been some progress but contracting out and job security remain a major concern," read a release from Unifor posted on Local 240's official Facebook page.
Employees who work at the plant and the evaporation pond walked off the job on February 17. Unifor has accused the company's owner, Stone Canyon, of holding out for an agreement on the outside contracting of work before it would discuss any financial matters.
