Grade school students in the region will compete Sunday in the 5th annual WFCU Credit Union Scripps Regional Spelling Bee.
Participating students qualified for the regional bee by winning their school-level competition.
The winner of the regional spelling bee will receive a $200 scholarship and a six-night trip to Washington D.C. to compete against students from around the world in the Scripps National Spelling Bee in June 2023.
The regional event is being held at the St. Clair College Centre for the Arts from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
