Shotgun seized after investigation by Windsor police

Three people are facing charges after a 12-gauge shotgun was seized during an investigation by the Windsor Police Drugs and Guns Unit.

A home on Goyeau Street was searched Tuesday as part of the investigation. During the search, officers seized a Browning 12-gauge semi-automatic shotgun, an air pistol with an extended magazine, and a ballistic vest. A stolen 2019 Nissan Qashqai was also recovered.

Two men and a woman, all from Windsor, were arrested at the scene.

A 43-year-old is facing charges of possession of a prohibited firearm, unsafe storage of a firearm and failure to comply with an undertaking. The suspect was also wanted on charges in connection to a break-in at a business back in February where an excavator was used to gain entry into the business.

The other two suspects, a 25-year-old woman and a 40-year-old man are both facing charges of possession of property obtained by crime.
