UPDATE: replica firearms seized after standoff

Nine replica firearms were seized after a lengthy standoff in Walkerville Thursday evening.

Just before 6 p.m., members of the Drugs and Guns Enforcement Unit and the Emergency Services Unit attempted to execute a search warrant at a home on Lincoln Road.

Windsor police say when officers ordered the suspect to exit the home, he refused to comply and he barricaded himself inside the property with another person. All vehicular and pedestrian traffic was closed in the area.

After four hours of negotiations, the suspects exited the residence and were taken into custody.
